Bikes, birds, Elephants

This was a common site. A victim of one of the wars. He would pedal this bike with his hands.

These people came up to us and handed us all one bird. Then they made the motion of throwing the birds in the air. We did. Then they made the motion of paying them money. Did we say yet-that we saw little or no birds in the wild in Cambodia or Vietnam. They say that the birds left during the Vietnam war, returned, only to be killed off when the Bird Flu epidemic was prevalent. Poor little buggers-they looked very thirsty.
Cruising down the St. in Phenom Pen was an elephant and his handler.
